Castle Marinas has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic manager, running one of the loveliest marinas in the country and the Castle Marinas portfolio. Birdham Pool Marina has 300 berths and is situated on a beautiful part of the South Coast in the Chichester Harbour AONB.

We’re looking for someone who can help drive the business forward - improve the profitability, manage teams of people, and generally be the public face of the marina. We need a broad skillset, including exceptional people skills, computer knowledge, a strong personality, good practical skills to be able to help direct the maintenance of the marina infrastructure, and a willingness to get stuck into whatever challenge is thrown at them.

Crick Marina

Harbourmaster 

We are looking for a Harbourmaster to join our team at Crick Marina on the Grand Union Canal.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service to our current and future moorers, and the new team member will play a key part in this. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who can work flexibly within a small team, with a ‘can do’ attitude.

Activities include: regular boat checks, maintaining the marina infrastructure, including pontoons and buildings, selling moorings, general customer service and assisting with administration. Practical skills would be an advantage, as would computer knowledge.

You will need to be comfortable in a customer facing role and be able to deal with phone calls and some paperwork.

Full time role, including some weekends on rota, and out of hours emergency phone cover. You will need to live close by (or onsite) to fulfil your work commitments.

Kings Bromley Marina

Position: Part-time Marina Assistant

Job description and list of duties:

Reporting to the Marina Manager or Duty Manager, your duties are to serve diesel and pump out boats on the service quay and assist in the loading of coal and gas bottles onto a trolley for quayside purchases. You will also carry out marina duties in conjunction with, and with guidance from the other members of Kings Bromley Marina team. You will be an integral part of the KB team, and you will be expected to turn your hand to any task.

You will have regular contact with the company’s customers and moorers and it is expected that you will conduct yourself in a polite and helpful manner.

Hours of work:

14 hours (2 shifts) per week, primarily at the weekend but additional hours will be available for holiday cover. A discounted mooring may be available as aprt of the package.
