Ventnor Marina: Marina Manager

Castle Marinas has an exciting new opportunity for a manager, running one of the loveliest marinas in the country and the Castle Marinas portfolio. Ventnor Marina is a leisure use only marina, with no liveaboards, and we’re looking for someone to live on their boat onsite and be the public face of the business and look after our 270 customers, as well as ensure the marina stays full. We need someone with excellent customer service skills, and an attitude to get stuck into whatever jobs around the site that need doing. Ventnor is situated on a beautiful part of Grand Union canal, near the junction with the South Oxford and the Stockton flight.

We’re looking for someone who can help drive the business forward – look after customers, maintain our high occupancy, improve the profitability, manage a small team of people, and generally be the public face of the marina. We need a broad skillset, including exceptional people skills, computer knowledge, a strong personality, good practical skills to be able to help direct the maintenance of the marina infrastructure, and a willingness to get stuck into whatever challenge is thrown at them.

If you have these attributes and aren’t afraid of hard work, we can offer you a great 5 day a week job, with some weekend work on rota, plenty of variety and an opportunity for a mooring as well. We would prefer that the new manager either lived locally or on their narrowboat on site.

If interested, please email your cv and a covering letter to mikeshipman@castlemarinas.co.uk. Start date asap. If you need more info, please call Mike on 07730 537253
